The much anticipated Premier badminton league 2018 kickstarts on 23rd December. The prestigious Indian badminton tournament, much like the Indian Premier League (IPL), Indian Super League (ISL) and the Pro Kabaddi, is entering its third season this year.

Top shots PV Sindhu, Carolina Marin and Saina Nehwal are the major attractions among the women players while the icon men’s badminton players include Viktor Axelsen and Kidambi Srikanth.

The tournament has been a great success amongst the badminton lovers. And the new season will offer more excitement with the inclusion of two new franchise. Premier Badminton league to be a 8 team affair from Season 4.

5 :- Tai Tzu Ying

Tai started her 2017 season ranked No. 1, and won her first All England title in March, beating Ratchanok Intanon in the finals. In April, Tai won the Malaysia Open as well as the Singapore Open beating Carolina Marin in the finals two times in two weeks, Malaysia and Singapore being her fourth and fifth consecutive titles. Later in April, she won her first title against Akane Yamaguchi in the Badminton Asia Championships held in Wuhan, China, marking a sixth consecutive title. It was also the first gold medal for Taiwan in this competition. Later, she added more to her tally by winning French open followed by Hong Kong open by defeating Akane Yamaguchi and PV Sindhu respectively. She has been dominant in all her finals winning 4 out of 5 in straight sets. The Taiwanese shuttler has not lost any of the final in 2017.

Premier Badminton League will be total different thing for her. As many top shuttlers fail to create a mark in the league. Being a dominant force in women singles this year it would be interesting to see how this ace shuttler performs in her maiden PBL season being an icon player for Ahmedabad Smash Masters.
