Bangladesh cricketer accused of teasing tennis star Sania Mirza

Bangladeshi cricketers have been in the news for all the bad reasons in the recent times. Sometimes there deeds of breaking the glass of team dressing room or bringing women’s to the team hotel has been way more than shameful. In a recent controversy, former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has alleged that his wife and tennis star Sania Mirza was subjected to eve-teasing by Bangladesh batsman Sabbir Rahman.

The matter

Malik visited Bangladesh four years for a domestic tournament with wife Sania Mirza where Sabbir teased Sania in the field.

Malik later registered an official complaint to the chairman of Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM).


Rahman was recently axed from the Bangladesh squad for Asia Cup following. He served a six-month ban from domestic cricket in June for assaulting a fan in the stadium.

The 26-year-old was also fined by the Bangladesh cricket board for bringing a woman in the team hotel without taking permission from the authority.
