Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan reacts to dating rumours with KL Rahul

The Bollywood and cricket couples are much hyped topic ever since Virat Kohli married actress Anushka Sharma in 2017, after dating for several years. The latest entrant in the list is the name of Indian cricketer KL Rahul and actress Sonal Chauhan.

Chauhan made her Bollywood debut with the movie- Jannat starring Emraan Hashmi as the male lead in 2008. She has went onto work in several Hindi and Telugu movies. Her Bollywood career has not been much successful but she she has created the buzz for alleged relationship with KL Rahul.

However, the Delhi born actress has denied the speculations of dating the cricketer and said that she has known Rahul since they began their career journey. Sonal revealed that they didn’t go to the same college but they still share a close bond.

“No, not at all. He is a very good cricketer, talented and nice guy.” Sonal said.

Rahul’s link up in the past

The Indian cricketer was allegedly linked with Bollywood diva Nidhi Agerwal, who made her bollywood debut in the film “Munna Michael” in 2017.

They both met in a cafe in Bandra, which sparkled the dating rumours. Nidhi later confirmed that they have been friends since long time and there is nothing cooking between the two.

Apart from the rumours, Rahul appeared in chat show Koffee with Karan and was provisionally suspended by BCCI for sexist remarks on the show. His impressive form in the IPL got him the all important berth for the world cup.

KL Rahul to bat at number four

India will start as the firm favourites of the upcoming world cup when they start their world cup campaign against South Africa on June 5 in Southampton. The men in blue played their first practise game against New Zealand where the team was exposed in batting and bowling department. Indian batters failed to fire and the middle order conundrum continue to be the headache for the team management. The form of spinners continued to be a concern but despite the failure, Ravindra Jadeja’s all round show was the only positive for the Indian team, who chipped in with a well made half century and picked one wicket.

In the second warm-up game against Bangladesh, India lost its frontline batters which brought the pressure on middle order batsman to fire. KL Rahul was again preferred at the number four and this time the Karnataka lad didn’t disappoint and played a match turning innings of 109 runs off just 99 balls. He formed a 164 runs partnership with MS Dhoni(113 off 78 balls) to take India to a dominant position. Their heroics ensured that India reach 359/7 after the end of 50 overs and it was KL Rahul’s brilliance that ended the debate for the number four slot for India.
