Chandigarh police denies security to Team India ahead of 2nd T20

In quest to 2020 T20 World cup, India started its journey with the 1st T20 against South Africa in Dharamshala, but unfortunately rain Gods had some other plans and they didn’t allowed the game to happen. The two teams have now arrived to Mohali for the second T20 of the series but unfortunately Chandigarh police has denied any security to Team India.

Chandigarh Police took this step due to non receiving of Rs 9 crore from BCCI. The BCCI was required to deposit an amount of rupees 9 crore to the Chandigarh Police. The Mohali police received the South African and Indian team at the airport and provided security till the Chandigarh border started.

At present, both teams have been provided with private security. Both the teams will be looking for a win to ease the pressure from themselves in the series decider at Bengaluru. A win for any of the teams will ensure that they don’t lose the series.

Unlike Dharamshala, the weather in Mohali is expected to be clear and a full 40 overs are expected in the course of the game.
