The Delhi Police has filed a chargesheet in the fraud case against former Team India cricketer and BJP MP Gautam Gambhir and others. The buyers of about 50 flats filed a complaint against Gambhir and others alleging that they had booked flats in a real estate project in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad in 2011, but have not yet received the flats.
Significantly, Gambhir was Rudra Buildwell Reality Private Limited’s and HR Infracity Private Limited’s brand ambassador and director. In this regard, a case was registered against him in 2016 for cheating crores of rupees on the pretext of booking a housing project.
According to the filed charge sheet, the company promised to give flats to the buyers on 6 June 2013, it was deferred till 2014. On 15 April 2015, the authorities canceled the project approval due to necessary license fees and dislocation.
Apart from Gambhir, promoters Mukesh Khurana, Gautam Mehra and Babita Khurana are included in the chartsheet in this case. Buyers allege that Gambhir helped the company attract buyers to invest in the project.
