Indian cricket team’s head coach- Ravi Shastri was re-appointed to the post and his tenure will extend till 2021 T20 World Cup. With this new tenure he will also get a hike in salary. Shastri’s annual salary can be up to Rs 10 crore. The most important thing is that the 57-year-old will start getting more salary than Indian captain Virat Kohli.A source close to BCCI confirms that Shastri will receive an annual salary of 9.5 crore to 10 crore. According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Shastri could get a 20 per cent increase in his salary with a new contract, which the board has agreed to. After which he will be paid a whooping sum of Rs 9.5 crore to 10 crore annually. Earlier, according to the contract, coach Shastri was being given Rs 8 crore annually.

The salary of support staff has also increased. Bowling coach Bharat Arun retained his post and will now be given around Rs 3.5 crore annually. Fielding coach R Sridhar will also get the same amount. Apart from this, the salary of the new batting coach- Vikram Rathour, will be between 2.5 to 3 crores.

According to BCCI contract, Virat Kohli gets seven crore rupees annually. According to the current contract of the board, Virat, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah are in the A + category.

A young South African team will be led by Quinton de Kock.
