Five legendary cricketers predict the winner of 2019 cricket world cup

The build to the 2019 world cup has allready started and cricket expert have allready managed to don the prediction hat and pick their overwhelming favourites to win the world cup. The new look England side may be up with a great chance to win their maiden world cup title especially on the back of the home support.

We take a look at the prediction of five former cricketers and see if their prediction will match with our pick.

5- Steve Waugh

The former Aussie skipper picked England to be the overwhelming favourites to win the coveted honour. Waugh also opined that Australia will not enter the tournament as the favourite to retain their title for the very first time in cricket history.

4- Nasser Hussain

The former England skipper was pretty much impressed with the performance of a low lying Pakistan in 2017 Champions trophy and rated the Sarfraz Ahmed led side to win the second ever world cup title for Pakistan since 1992 world cup, where Imran Khan was the captain.

3- Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag says India should not play Asia Cup 2018- DigitalsportyThe former India opener was optimistic about India’s chances in the marquee event and said that the men in blue will be the favourites to win the world cup.

“The kind of ODI team we(India) have, we are favourites to win the 2019 World Cup,” said Sehwag.

2- Glenn McGrath

The legendary Aussie pacer opined that hosts England will be the favourites to win the world cup in 2019. “By seeing the way England is playing at the present, i can say that they can win the 2019 World Cup next year,” he said.

1- Allan Donald

South African legend Allan Donald names his all time best 11

The former South African pacer backs England to win the world cup. He said that England are playing an aggressive brand of cricket and if ever they have a chance to win one, it’s definitely now or never.
