WWE brought back Goldberg to spice up things and chose The Fiend Bray Wyatt as his opponent for this Friday’s Super Show Down pay per view that airs from Saudi Arabia. Speculations were rife that he was just another opponent for Fiend in pursuit to the Wrestlemania but WWE seems to making changes to Wrestlemania card.
Rumors suggested that Goldberg was not slated to wrestle at this year’s Wrestlemania and Super Show Down was his one off appearance. But now it seems that the plans have changed as the hardcore legend is expected to get another title run with WWE after he defeats Fiend at Super Show Down.
WWE put Goldberg as a strong opponent against Fiend on the last episode of SmackDown, who speared him and this was the first time when the monster had to disappear after being fearful of another spear. Amid all this, Goldberg was smiling as if he didn’t feared the Fiend.
According to Brad Shephard, his sources note that Goldberg is expected to wrestle at Wrestlemania. There is enough time before the biggest event of WWE and the plans may change.
There were reports that The Fiend will defend his title at Wrestlemania against Roman Reigns but that is not happening according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer. WWE has to think if it would be Fiend vs Roman Reigns or Goldberg vs Roman Reigns or Goldberg vs Fiend for another title rematch.
