Good news for the football fans who want to watch FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi live in India

Lionel Messi has managed to attract the football enthusiast around the world to be the fan of his playing style as well as the charisma he brings on the football field. The story remains the same with the Indian fans who have had sleepless nights in order to see him in action playing for FC Barcelona in La Liga. Majority of the football fans in India supported Argentina in the 2018 FIFA world cup because of the presence of Messi in the team.

However, there was one wish of seeing the five times Ballon d’Or award winner showcasing his magical skills in India and there is some good news in kitty for all those fans.

Jordi Camps, FC Barcelona’s Asia Pacific director general was optimistic of Lionel Messi and FC Barcelona arriving to India for pre season preparation. Camps said that the management is working of making the plans into reality.

“Of course as I said India is one of the top players in the markets and for sure our team in Barcelona and Hong Kong is working to have the opportunity or bring the opportunity to the India fans, to watch our players live and we are working on it,” Camps said.

“I don’t know if it will happen the next year or the following year or the year after that but we will have them here for sure. We had the legends in India two months ago and we have the schools so little by little we are coming but I hope we have Messi here before he ends his career,” he added.

Top tier Spanish team Girona FC and Australia’s Melbourne City FC arrived to India this year for a pre season tournament with Indian club Kerala Blasters FC and it will be a dream come true for the football fans in the country, if a heavyweight club like FC Barcelona can mark their presence in a pre season preparatory camp or a tournament.
