Harbhajan Singh predicts the winner of India vs Pakistan clash in World Cup

Harbhajan Singh predicts the winner of India vs Pakistan clash in World Cup

Team India will lock horns against arch-rivals Pakistan in the upcoming world cup on June 16th. The two teams last played in Super four stage of Asia cup 2018, where the men in blue emerged victorious. However, after the Pulwama terror attack in February 2019, there has been a huge demand of boycotting the world cup game against Pakistan.

Pakistan has never won a world cup game against India and the latter team stands with an advantage of 6-0 in the show piece event. Pakistani chief selector Inzamam-ul-haq was confident that Sarfaraz Ahmed and company will finally pip India to break the jinx for Pakistan.

Harbhajan Singh prediction on India vs Pakistan game

The former India pacer opined that India vs England clash will be a huge one and not India vs Pakistan. Bhajji said that India has 11 match winners in the team while Pakistan do not possess the ability to beat the current Indian team.

“India vs Pakistan is not as big as India vs England. Maybe from the media perspective, India vs Pakistan is more hyped up. But from a cricketing aspect, India vs England is more important. India can beat this Pakistan team 9 and a half times out of 10 times. Pakistan do not have the kind of players. Favourites tags are with India and England.

“India have 11 match-winners and I don’t think Pakistan have the ability to beat this Indian team. We are more experienced and we have a lot of big players,” Harbhajan said while speaking on India Today’s Salaam cricket event.

Former Pakistani captain Misbah-ul-Haq was also involved in the event and agreed that India holds an upper hand over Pakistan but asserted that the pressure of rivalry can eke out different results.

“Logically, Bhajji is right but Pakistan is a dangerous team. In cricket, you cannot say anything. This Pakistan team is capable. There was a collapse in the last match. India have a better chance. As he said, India and England are the two favourites. Given the rivalry, intensity… You never know what can happen in World Cups. Pakistan were strong in the 1990s yet India would win every time in World Cups,” said Misbah, who led Pakistan in 2015 world cup in Australia.
