After Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik’s brilliance in the 3rd T20, India draw the T20 series 1-1 going into the all important four match test series starting 6th December. The much talked about test series is certainly looking in the favour of Indian team as the hosts looks more than depleted without the service of their prime players like Steve Smith and David Warner.
Meanwhile, before the start of the test series, India is playing a practise match against Cricket Australia XI at the iconic Sydney cricket ground from November 28 to December 1.
CA XI skipper Sam Whiteman won the toss and asked India to bat first. KL Rahul disappointed in the first innings but all the other batsman converted their starts to a fifty. India got dismissed on 358 runs in 92 overs thanks to fifties by five Indian batters.
Teen sensation Aaron Hardie was the pick of the CA XI bowlers as he bagged four wickets by giving away just 50 runs. He also picked the wicket of Indian captain Virat Kohli.
CA XI in reply posted a mommoth score of 544 runs, thanks to centuries by Harry Nielsen (100 off 170).
Mohammed Shami(3 wickets) and R. Ashwin(2 wickets) were the pick of the Indian bowlers but it was skipper Virat Kohli who garnered all the attention by picking up a wicket in the match.
Kohli used his bowling arm after several years and bowled seven overs in the game. He bowled a half tracker to centurion Harry Nielsen which rose up high in the sky and mid-off fielder Umesh Yadav hung on to the catch.
Kohli was over-joyed with the wicket and looked a bit surprise at the same moment. He never expected a wicket on his bowling but all’s well that ends well.
