After a famous England victory in Edgbaston the focus now shifts to the second test at the “Home of Cricket- Lords”. Indian batsman have failed to fire in the 1st test, however, the magical performance of Virat Kohli and bowlers picking all 20 wickets will be the biggest positive for this Indian side. England on the other hand have found a new superstar in Sam Curran and will hope that the youngster continue to deliver for the “Three Lions”
A win for England will tighten their grip in the 5 match series and it will become an uphill task for India to win the remaining three test and register a famous series victory.
The Indian team will be eager to bounce back after a heartbreaking loss in the first test. The Men In Blue will be eager to prove their prowess as the world Number 1 test side.
India: It is unlikely that Jasprit Bumrah will get fit for the second test. The Indian pace attack is likely to be unchanged.
England: Chris Woakes is certain to be in the playing XI after Ben Stokes was ousted from the second test due to the court hearing in Bristol.
There is a good chance of rain on day 1, day 4 and day 5 of the test match. The conditions will remain cloudy through the course of 5 days with partly sunny conditions. The temperature will range from 19’c to 25’c.
The pitch will offer help to the pace bowlers with a green cover of grass. Lords wicket will be a graveyard for the batsman who will struggle against the swinging deliveries. Some typical English weather with clouds soaring up in the sky and cold winds will make a perfect outing for the pacers.
