Indian cricketers were spotted with their wives and children at the ongoing tour of United Kingdom. The cricketers were seen dining and shopping with their families on the buzzing streets of London. Shikhar Dhawan, Umesh Yadav, and MS Dhoni were all spotted with their WAGs during the off-time. However, MS Dhoni and his family have allready left the country after the ODI series but other cricketers who will be part of the test team will not be allowed to carry their wives alongside them till the third test.
According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, the team management has informed the players that no WAGs(Wives and girlfriends) will be allowed with them till the end of third test in Nottingham.
The reports further state that the relaxation period of the players ended on Sunday and the team left for Chelmsford from London. They will be playing Essex in a four day practice match, starting 25 July.
“We’ve had four days of rest before settling down for the serious task ahead. The players had moved out with spouses, friends and relatives and tomorrow (Monday) we will leave for Chelmsford,” a team source told Mirror.
Test specialist R Ashwin, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah arrived in London and they have now reached Chelmsford together for the practice game.
“He had a finger injury and we’re hoping he will recover for the second Test. Meanwhile, he is fit to bowl in the nets,” the source said.
