A much experienced Chennai Super Kings thumped a fearless Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets to make their second consecutive IPL final. Delhi scored 147 runs in their quota of 20 overs where Rishabh Pant top scored with 38 off 25 balls. Chennai Super Kings’ experienced opening duo of Shane Watson and Faf Du Plessis ensured that their team gets a good start, chasing an easy target.

This Australia-South African pair added 81 runs for the first wicket and ensured that the defending champions are on the driving seat. The men in yellow chased down the target with ease with one over remaining and won the game by 6 wickets to book their place in the final.

MS Dhoni led side will again face Mumbai Indians in a high profile final at Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Hyderabad and the encounter promises to be a cracker of a contest. CSK lost to MI in the qualifier 1 and will be looking to avenge their defeat, on the other hand Mumbai Indians will look to carry on the winning momentum and continue the trend of winning the IPL trophies in odd years(2013, 2015, 2017).
