Jasprit Bumrah rested for New Zealand tour and Australia ODI series, replacement named

Jasprit Bumrah was one difference between the two teams as he helped India win a historic test series in Australia 2-1 after the last test in Sydney was washed out due to rain. Meanwhile the selectors have rested him for the limited overs series against Australia and New Zealand(ODIs in Australia and ODIs and T20s in New Zealand.

A report in Cricbuzz states that Bumrah will be replaced by Mohammad Siraj in the T20 squad for Australia and New Zealand series. Siraj has been instrumental in the success of Hyderabad in the ongoing Ranji season and his numbers were lit up during India A tours.

Punjab pacer Siddharth Kaul who has continued to impress in the IPL playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad will be included in the New Zealand T20 series.

Bumrah has bowled as many as 943 deliveries in the test series with same intensity and Virat Kohli has asserted of resting the pace trio to reduce their workload in pursuit to the upcoming world cup in England that starts in May.
