The couple are yet to make it official but a close friend has confirmed that the couple are in a relationship and their friendship soon turned into love and they are trying their best to spend time with each other, despite their hectic schedule.

“Akansha and Rahul are best friends. She didn’t set him up with Athiya. They have been friends for a long time. Both have a crazy sense of humour and most of their buddies had anticipated their friendship transforming into romance. The two have been dating for a few months now. Given their schedules, they try to spend as much time with each other as possible,” the friend said in a conversation with The Times of India.

Athiya’s father and veteran Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty is fond of cricket and it seems that he gave a hint of liking the person, whom her daughter is dating. Suniel went onto say that they fit into their family like gloves.

“We love the kids and the kids they are dating. Absolutely love them and I think more than a profession, being happy in life is very important today because that is the space I think that is missing. We were all happy, we grew up happy,” Shetty told The Times of India.
