In the most unfortunate happenings in cricket, 8 people have lost their lives in a blast at cricket match in Afghanistan. Atthullah Khogyani, the spokesman for the provincial governor in Nangarhar confirmed that at least eight people have been killed after multiple explosions hit a cricket match in eastern Nangarhar province.

He also told that around 45 others have been wounded at the sports stadium late last night in the provincial capital of Jalalabad and that an investigation is underway.

The attack happened as players and hundreds of spectators gathered for a nighttime tournament during the holy month of Ramadan.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack but if reports are to be believed then Taliban or the Islamic State group can be behind it.
