The 2020 Wrestlemania was scheduled to take place in Tampa Bay, Florida, which happens to be the hometown of WWE legend Dwayne”The Rock” Johnson. It was speculated that the ten times world champion will retire after a match at the greatest stage of them all in 2020 but the 47-year-old has finally called it a day from professional wrestling.
However, he did not rule out the possibility of a possible return and watching the history of WWE, it is likely that the two time Intercontinental champions will return to the professional wrestling scene sooner than later because “You can’t smell, what the ROCK is cooking”.
“I miss wrestling. I love wrestling. I quietly retired from wrestling because I was lucky enough to have a wonderful career and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish. But there’s nothing like a live crowd, live audience, live microphone,” Rock said in the chat show Live with Kelly and Ryan in the States.
His last appearance at WWE came in Wrestlemania 2016 where he ended up on a winning side against Erick Rowan.
Many few know that the veteran wrestler is also the cousin of current WWE superstar Roman Reigns and Nia Jax.
Dwayne Johnson is busy promoting his movie- “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’ and the film is getting good reviews from the critics as well as the audience. He was recently named the highest-paid actor for 2019 by Forbes, with a revenue of $124 million.
