Senior BCCI official accused of sexual harassment by his colleague

The #MeToo movement in India has got all the attention as people as well as celebrities are taking their real life incidents when they were asked for the sexual favours to the social media. The movement got the recognition after Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her. Recently former badminton star Jwala Gutta accused one of her coach of mentally harassing her.

Amid all these controversies, the accusations has now reached the cricket world. Earlier, former Sri Lanka skipper Arjuna Ranatunga and Lasith Malinga were accused of sexually harassing two Indian girls but now the accusation has come up to India cricket.

BCCI’s Chief Executive officer Rahul Johri has been accused of sexual harassment by one of his colleague. Johri became the CEO of BCCI in April 2016 but earlier he used to be the Executive Vice President and General Manager – South Asia for Discovery Networks Asia Pacific. The woman who accused Johri of sexual harassment was a former colleague in the company.

The accuser who brought her matter into consideration through a journalist said that Johri offered her a job on the base of his high post in the company. She was accidentally inducted in the house of Johri where he sexually harassed her. Further investigation can shed more light on the matter and if its true then Johri may have to lose his post from the most richest cricket board of the world.
