Mohammed Shami reveals his game plan ahead of historic day/night test

India registered a convincing victory over Bangladesh in the first test at Indore to be 1-0 up in the two match series and bag all 60 points to consolidate their position in world test championship points table. The action will now shift to Eden Gardens in Kolkata where the two teams will play their first ever day night test with SG pink ball. Due will be a decisive factor in the game and the team who can bat sensibly will emerge victorious as the pink cherry generates more swing from the pitch, making life difficult for the batters.

Meanwhile, Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has revealed about his preparations for the first day-night test against Bangladesh. Shami said that he would keep changing the length of the ball to stun the batsmen in the historic test. Shami took seven wickets in the first Test in Indore and added that he would keep things simple in the second test.

“The bowlers will have to keep an eye on the wicket. I have to put extra effort when the pitch is slow and pressure will have to be created when the batsman looks uncomfortable. We need to keep on changing the length,” Shami said.

Its worth mentioning that Shami is one of the two players who has the experience of playing day night test with a pink cherry. He has played a West Bengal league match where he featured in the day night test alongside Wriddhiman Saha. The Bengal pacer would like to share the insight of his experience to the team mates which may benefit them in the all important encounter from 22nd November at iconic Eden Gardens.
