With just over 8 months left for the Cricket world cup to kickstart, all the ten participating teams have allready started their build-up for cricket’s marquee event. The teams have started to get their best playing 11 for the world cup and former cricketers and cricket experts have decided to step up the peddle and make some guesses of the winner.

Former Pakistan wicket-keeper Moin Khan has now donned the prediction hat and said that Pakistan may win the world cup as the conditions in England will suit the men in green. Khan backed Sarfraz Ahmed to do well in the mega event after some humiliating failures in the recent while.

“I think Pakistan really has a good chance to clinch the title as conditions will be helpful for them in England,” the Express Tribune quoted Khan, as saying.

Pakistan’s recent appearance at the Asia Cup 2018 was cut short by an inspired Bangladeshi team who thumped them in a virtual semi-final clash to advance to the finals where they lost to India. Sarfraz Ahmed led side was the favourite to lift the trophy as they were playing in their adopted home with all the crowd support chanting and cheering them but some poor show by their inconsistent batting line-up spoiled the party.

There were numerous questions raised on the leadership of Sarfraz but Moin opines that the Pakistan skipper is a wonderful player and leader and that the team will need him in the world cup.

“Sarfraz is a wonderful player and a good leader. He has to perform well in the upcoming World Cup. His performance in the tournament will be crucial for the team,” Khan concluded.
