Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur got all the limelight after guiding the men in green to 2017 Champions trophy triumph against India in the finals in a one side encounter but Sarfraz Ahmed’s team failed to qualify for the finals of recently concluded Asia Cup 2018 which again draw questions on his credibility.

Pakistan is currently playing a low-lying Australia in the test series in United Arab Emirates and Arthur would hope that he could rinse some stains from himself by guiding Pakistan to a dominant win.

He was recently asked about the best cricketer of the current era and he named India captain Virat Kohli as his choice. Arthur was also much impressed with the work morality of Kohli.

“Virat’s hunger and desire to be the best sets him apart from the rest. Everything Virat does is almost fanatical… The way he lives his life, trains and plays his cricket… For Virat, it’s about becoming the best he can be. I have used Virat as an example for my players. The way he changed his lifestyle, the accent on fitness. I have enjoyed watching Virat grow as a cricketer,” Arthur was quoted as saying in The Telegraph.

Arthur said that he would pay to watch Virat Kohli, David Warner and AB De Villiers bat

Virat’s the best in the world… Purely as somebody passionate about cricket, he’s one of three batsmen I’d pay a lot of money to watch — AB De Villiers and David Warner being the other two. AB has retired completely from international cricket and Warner is currently ineligible to play for Australia,” Arthur was quoted as saying in The Telegraph,” he added.
