The first day of the second test match was washed away by rain. It was speculated that rain may spoil the party and like the expectations it did manage to eat up one whole day of the test match. While the rain may bring happiness to someone it certainly doesn’t help the players, who had to sit whole day in the dressing rain waiting for the clouds to set away.

After a poor batting display by the Indian batters in the first test that gave England a famous 31 runs victory at the home of “Robin Hood” Edgbaston, the focus now shifted to the second test. A victory for England will minimize India’s chances to script a comeback, India on the other hand will hold the screw tight to register a victory like they did when they last toured in 2014, to keep the series alive.

It all came down to the toss and team changes but the heavy rain delayed the all important verdict. However, social media came to the rescue a user shared a photo of official team scoresheet that saw India team unchanged for the second test.

While England were forced to make two changes as Chris Woakes came in place of Ben Stokes and Ollie Pope came in place of Dawid Malan.

Speculated Indian XI: Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Dinesh Karthik, R Ashwin, Hardik pandya, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami.

Speculated England XI: Alastair Cook, Keaton Jennings, Joe Root, Ollie Pope, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Chris Woakes, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, Stuart Broad and James Anderson.
