In the grand auction a total of 422 players, including 58 overseas players, went under the hammer during the two-day of bidding battle where 87 players from the Future Heroes Kabaddi programme were also up for bidding. Tamil Thalaivas were in the expansion mode and the Chennai based franchise managed to bag some of the budget deals that surely make them a prospect for the upcoming season. They retained their dependable raider and captain Ajay Thakur for a price tag of 76.23. On that note, here’s a look at Tamil Thalaivas team for PKL 2018.

The team managed to pick Sukesh Hegde, who was not much utilized by his former team Gujarat FortuneGiants and will be eyeing to make a mark this season. Accompanying him in the raiding department will be ever dependable Ajay Thakur and the experienced Jasvir Singh.

They also retained their key defenders Amit Hooda and C. Arun who did a fantastic job for them in the previous season. They will be accompanied by Darshan J. and Sunil Kumar.

The team will be ecstatic to buy all-rounder Manjeet Chillar for a budget deal of 20 lakh rupees
