Three Indian boxers who are gold medal contenders at CWG 2018

Gold Coast Commonwealth Games is just 4 days away and Indian athletes are gearing up for the grand multi sports event. India has great strength in games like badminton, hockey, track & field events and much more, on the other hand boxing has also given numerous medal to the country. India’s boxers won 4 silver and 1 bronze in the last edition and they will make sure that they go for the gold rush and better the performance from the last edition of the games. We discuss three Indian boxers who are gold medal contenders at CWG 2018.

3. Satish Kumar

The bronze medalist from 2014 edition of Asian Games will be one of those three Indian boxers who are gold medal contenders at CWG 2018. The world number 3 is the top most ranked boxer in the mens 91+ kg category at CWG and will be eyeing glory. Coached by Gurbaksh Singh Sandhu at the SSCB boxing club, Kumar will make his Commonwealth Games debut this year. Indian boxers have not produced impressive results in heavy-weight category like 91+ kg or 91 kg but hopefully the history books will be inked with some glory courtesy of Satish Kumar’s performance in Gold Coast.
