Delhi Capitals have almost confirmed their berth in the playoffs of the ongoing IPL season and another chance to win their maiden trophy after losing to Mumbai Indians in the finals last year. Delhi squared off against a rejuvenated Kolkata Knight Riders and managed to score just 127 runs in the course of 20 overs.
However, in the last over of the Delhi innings, there was a heated words of exchange involving Tim Southee, Eoin Morgana and R Ashwin. On the very first ball of the 20th over, Southee send Ashwin packing to the pavilion with few heated words and KKR captain Eoin Morgan also got involved in the argument. It might have been something about the last ball of the previous over where they(Rishabh Pant and R Ashwin) stole a run.
Ashwin is known for his fiery spells of bowling and he also does not backs down from getting involved in a heated argument. He gave it back to Southee and also had an argument with Morgan before former KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik stepped in and cool down the things between the three. Ashwin looked fired up after the conclusion of the innings and was spotted talking to the match officials to complain about the incident or maybe explain about his acts. Delhi Capitals coach Ricky Ponting and Mohammad Kaif also talked to the umpires after the innings.
