Virat Kohli picks Shane Warne and Faf Du Plessis in his world cup squad, here's why

All the ten captains hosted the press conference before the start of the world cup on Thursday in London. Eoin Morgan (England), Gulbadin Naib (Afghanistan), Aaron Finch (Australia), Mashrafe Mortaza (Bangladesh), Virat Kohli (India), Kane Williamson (New Zealand), Sarfraz Ahmed (Pakistan), Faf du Plessis (South Africa), Dimuth Karunaratne (Sri Lanka) and Jason Holder (West Indies) answered the question put to them by the media personnels.

All the ten captains including Virat Kohli faced a hypothetical situation where they were asked to pick any player from the other side and the Indian skipper picked Faf Du Plessis and legendary Shane Warne in his team.

“There have been so many great players in the past and it is tough to name one. But, if I have to pick one player in my team than it has to be Shane Warne. I’m always fascinated by his bowling. Just being in the same XI alongside him and watching him bowl would be a treat for any player,” Kohli said.

“It is very difficult to choose someone. We feel we are such a strong side. But if I have to choose one from the current lot…since AB (de Villiers) is retired now, I would choose Faf (du Plessis),” Kohli added.
