India thrashed a low-lying West Indies by 8 wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the five match ODI series. West Indies batters scored 322 runs courtesy of a brilliant hundred by Shimron Hetmyer which was always going to be a tricky target for any batting line-up.

Indian innings didn’t got off to a great start as Shikhar Dhawan could just manage four runs which again rings the danger bell for him that could also ousted him from the ODI team considering the form of Prithvi Shaw in Vijay Hazare trophy and Indian test team.

Rohit Sharma(152) and Virat Kohli(140) took the Indian innings forward and added a match turning 246 runs in just 32 overs to take the team to a commanding position. After the departure of Virat Kohli, in-form Ambati Rayudu(22) did the formalities and took the team to victory batting alongside Rohit Sharma.

After an emphatic win Virat Kohli spoke something that got the social media fans heartbroken and they will now keep thinking about it in the near future. The Indian captain said that he has got few years left in his International career to enjoy the game he grew up playing.

The retirement talks troubling the fans

“I have few years left in my career to enjoy this sport. Playing for country is a matter of pride and a huge honour. You can’t afford to take any game lightly.

“You got to be honest to the sport and that is when the sport gives you back. I try to do that. That’s my basic thinking, because you are playing for India and not everyone gets to do that,” he said.

Virat is 29-years-old currently and if he can manage to be in good shape, he can continue for more than five years from now.
