Watch: Quinton de Kock misses stumping because of a bee

Cricket is a funny game as it turns around in moment of time, however it can actually offer some “fun” in the process. One such scenario happened in the ongoing South Africa vs Australia’s 4th test and Quinton de Kock was on the receiving end. In the 31st over of Australia’s first innings, Shaun Marsh, batting at 15*, tried to go down the track trying to drive off-spinner Keshav Maharaj but the ball straightened and he ended up missing the ball. It was a stumping chance for de Kock as he bent down to collect the ball, but it hit his left pad and bowed down.

De Kock didn’t rush for the ball but he instead held on to his left arm. Crowd was aweful as replay showed that a bee had stung de Kock on his upper left arm and he was trying to take the sting out.

It didn’t caused any further damage as Shaun Marsh only added 1 run and got out to Maharaj. South Africa’s physiotherapist Craig Govender then came on and attended to the wicketkeeper.
