Nepal's Rohit Paudel breaks Sachin Tendulkar's 29-years-old record

Nepal’s Rohit Paudel today became the youngest batsman to score a half century at an age of 16 years and 146 days. Batting at number 7, Paudel notched up 55 runs from 58 balls which included seven boundaries. The game was played between the touring Nepal team against the hosts United Arab Emirates.

In the process, Paudel also beat the 29-years-old record of the great Sachin Tendulkar who scored 59 runs at the age of 16 years and 213 days. He was followed by former Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi who fifty against Sri Lanka at the age of 16 years and 217 days.

Nepal went onto win the ODI by a convincing margin of 146 runs.
