Only goalkeeper to win Ballon D’Or

The legendary Lev Yashin of the USSR is the only goalkeeper to have won the Ballon D’Or. He won it in 1963. Nicknamed the “Black Spider” or the “Black Panther” is considered by many in the sport to be the greatest goalkeeper in the history of the game. He was known for his athleticism, positioning, stature, bravery, imposing presence in goal, and acrobatic reflex saves.

The World cup trophy

The original World Cup trophy was called the Jules Rimet Trophy. It was named after Jules Rimet, a French football administrator who was the 3rd President of FIFA and longest serving President, having served for 33 years, between 1921 and 1954. He was also the man who set up the first tournament in 1930. In 1983, the trophy was stolen and never recovered.

Messi’s hormonal problem

Messi had a hormonal problem when he was born and that’s the reason why he is short. He was in Argentina and moved to Spain to play football. Barcelona was the only club who payed for his treatment and allowed him to join the club. Since then he only plays for Barca.
