India bounced back in style to win the third domain test match to take a 2-1 lead in the series and retain the Border-Gavaskar trophy once again after 2017. Australia showed tremendous fight in the fourth innings as Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon showed some determination which forced the game to last day with rainy conditions expected to play its part.

Indian pacers took just 27 balls to clean up the host on last day and win the test by 137 runs.

Meanwhile former Australia great- Allan Border has said that Virat Kohli and company does not struggle on oversees tour following their impressive pace trio. He further opined that this Indian team needs to be the number one test side in the world.

“They’re the real deal now, they’re the No. 1 team. They’ve had their struggles away from home, but they’re starting to improve because they’ve had some good fast bowling,” Border told Foxsports.com.au.

Border further added that India’s pace trio is the reason why they don’t struggle on oversees tour. He believes the team can defeat Australia, New Zealand and South Africa which produces fast, bouncy and seaming wickets.

He opined that India possessed some individual bowling talents in the past but presently they have a all-round attack.

“They’ve been a great side to watch and they deserve this win. It’s as a good an Indian bowling attack as I’ve ever seen. They’ve had some fantastic individual bowlers over the years, particularly famous for their spin, going back to when I first started with Bishan Bedi, Erapalli Prasanna, Bhagwath Chandrasekhar.” Border added.
