Big WWE Superstar suspended following the rape charges.

World Wrestling Entertainment(WWE) has suspended its Cruiserweight champion Enzo Amore following allegations he sexually assaulted a woman in a hotel room in October 2017. The date of the alleged incident is Thursday, October 19th, 2017. According to a report, the woman filed a report with the Phoenix Police Department on the alleged incident and the case is still under investigation.  Twitter user @MissGucciWitch recently took to Twitter and accused Enzo of raping her back in October of 2017. She alleges that Twitter user @toopoor_ (a woman named Layla Shapiro) and designer Tyler Grosso were involved.

WWE issued the statement regards to the alleged incident:

“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended.”

Philomena has a considerable presence across several social media platforms and named fashion blogger Layla Shapiro, among others, as an accomplice to Amore. Shapiro denied these allegations in a series of NSFW tweets that have since been deleted.

No official statement has been issued about Enzo’s match at Royal Rumble. Enzo was set to defend his title against Cedric Alexander at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view next Sunday.

Who is Enzo Amore?

Enzo Amore (original name: Eric Arndt) first broke into the professional wrestling in 2012 through WWE’s developmental brand, NXT and wrestled as Enzo Amore. He established himself as a future star with tag-teammate Big Cass. And was promoted to WWE’s flagship program, Monday Night Raw, in 2016.
