SAFF Championship 2018 final, India vs Maldives- Live Streaming, Head to Head records, Full squads, Match Details

India will be eying their 8th SAFF championship title when they face a resurgent Maldives in the finals. The Blue Tigers had allready defeated Maldives and Sri Lanka in the group stage clash with same scoring margin of 2-0.

India pipped Pakistan 3-1 in the semi-final in an evenly contested first half. The second half proved to be a goal fest as India managed 3 goals and Pakistan also found the net on one occasion.

Maldives were clinical in their semi-final clash against Nepal, where they won 3-0 courtesy of Ibrahim Waheed Hassan’s brilliance. He will be one player who can create a difference in the final and Indian defenders needs to mark him carefully.

Stat: India has conceded the least number of goal in the tournament (i.e 1 goal)

Head-To-Head records

Both the teams have faced each other for 18 times where India clearly enjoys the upper hand. The Blue Tigers got the better of Maldives on 14 occasions while the latter team have 3 wins over India, two matches ended in a draw.

Maldives’ last victory over India came way back in 2009 SAFF Championship where they won 2-0.
