Wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan sustained an injury on his face and was taken off the field during the IPL match between his side Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore at iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
In the 13th over of the match a throw by fielder Hardik Pandya got unexpected bounce high off the practice pitch area and struck Kishan near his right eye. Kishan was seen twitching in pain while lying on the ground and was attended by MI medical staff.
Kishan was immediately taken off the field and was replaced by AdityaTare, who had a go at one stumping chance, when RCB batsman Sarfaraz Khan went down the wicket and ended up missing the ball bowled by Mayank Markande. Tare captains Mumbai in the domestic cricket.
