Mark Calaway aka The Undertaker announced his retirement from in ring action which marked the end of an era. Taker entertained the wrestling fans all over the world for around three decades but it was time for him to hang his boots. Fans were speculating a possible retirement for the dead man after WWE rolled out a documentary after him named- “The Last Ride”.

Taker arrived to WWE in 1990 and didn’t look back from there on. He was involved in portraying various gimmick but the most famous of them all is of- The deadman. The 7 times WWE champion was the top superstar of the WWE from his early days in the company and he will also be known for his tag team matches with his on screen brother- Kane as Brothers of Destruction.

Undertaker will be best-known for his performances at Wrestlemania, which is the pinnacle event of the WWE. The 55-year-old won 21 back-to-back matches at Wrestlemania before going down to Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 30. Taker participated in four more Wrestlemania matches and he suffered another defeat at the hands of Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 33.

This year’s Wrestlemania match marked the end of Undertaker as he wrestled in his last match which was a boneyard match against AJ Styles. The match was truly identical to a movie and received great reactions by the fans after Taker got the better of Styles.

“You can never appreciate how long the road was until you’ve driven to the end. #TheLastRide,” The Undertaker said on Twitter.

“I have this other life that I need to go experience and enjoy the fruits of my labor,” the WWE quoted The Undertaker in another tweet.
