In a happening news for the fans, Cricket will feature in South Asian Games in Nepal which will commence from March 9-18 next year. Both the men’s and women’s cricket will be played in the Games.
The men’s category will feature the U-23 cricketers, along with three senior players of any age group. However, the senior cricketers are allowed from the women’s category.

The format of the tournament is still not finalized but its certain that the format will not be 5 day test cricket.
India’s chances
It is a possibility that BCCI won’t send any of its team. The reason may be a cruel reality but cricket’s governing body doesn’t send teams to Asian games or South Asian Games because then the control will lie in the hands of Indian Olympic Association
