FIR lodged against Yuvraj Singh for calling Yuzvendra Chahal "bhangi"

Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has landed himself into trouble with an in-appropriate comment on Yuzvendra Chahal during an Instagram live session . The Chandigarh born can face some serious charges against him with this comment made on Instagram live session with Rohit Sharma.

During the friendly conversation, Yuvraj called Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav– “Bhangi”. The comment made by the former cricketer has not gone well with netizens and even a complaint has been lodged against Yuvraj Singh by Dalit rights activist and advocate Rajat Kalsan. The case is registered in Hansi in Hisar, a place in Haryana, as reported by Zee News. The police will now investigate about the incident and if they find conclusive evidences, Rohit Sharma and Yuvraj Singh can be arrested in this context.

Kalsan alleged that Rohit should have opposed the thoughts of Yuvraj but in return he smiled back and agreed. Kalsan said that he registered the case and has demanded the arrest of Yuvraj Singh. He also said that documents and CDs will also be handed over to the police.

During the Instagram live session, Rohit and Yuvraj were talking about the spin twin duo of Kuldeep and Chahal in their live interaction. During this time, he called them “bhangi”, which has not gone down well. The accusation made by Kalsan has came on this particular word and noted that it hurts the sentiments of Dalit(Scheduled caste) people.

Talking about this issue, Hansi SP Lokendra Singh has said that he has submitted the investigation to the DSP officer. He noted that all aspects in regards to the claims will be investigated and action will be taken after the investigation happens. If found guilty, the 2011 world cup winning hero can face serious legal actions that can also land him behind the bars.
