List of teams who can buy Yuvraj Singh in IPL auction 2020

Yuvraj Singh was recently released from Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2020 auction after he had an average season with the 2019 champions. With this release, it could mark the end of Yuvraj Singh’s career who announced his retirement this year. The 37-year-old will now feature in the upcoming IPL auction and if he could put a meaningful price tag for himself, the franchise owners may show interest in him. His good run of form in the ongoing T10 league in Abu Dhabi will also make his case strong.

Let’s take a look at the team who can buy Yuvraj in IPL auction 2020.

Sunrisers Hyderabad– The 2016 champions boast of some hard hitting batsman like Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Mohammad Nabi and Jonny Bairstow in the middle order and they are unlilkely to bid for Yuvi.

Kolkata Knight Riders- The two times champion have released 12 players before the closure of trade window which leaves ample of space to fill in their middle order. They might consider to invest in Yuvraj but considering their history of investing in youth, it is certain that they will not bid for former India International.

Chennai Super Kings– The three times champion have all the bases covered and released five players ahead of the auction. They have old legs in their team and vastly depend on experience to do the job. With the questionable form of Kedar Jadhav and Suresh Raina, they might invest in Yuvraj and put up a duo of Yuvi-Dhoni together which the fans are eager to see from a long time.

Mumbai Indians: The four times champion released Yuvraj and it is more than certain that they will not look back at him.

Rajasthan Royals: The inaugural IPL champions boast of some hard hitters like Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler in their middle order but with the trade of Ajinkya Rahane to Delhi Capitals, they might eye an experienced campaigner to have all their bases covered.

Royal Challengers Bangalore: The 2016 runner ups need to bring some hard hitters in the middle order and they are unlikely to bid for Yuvraj.

Kings XI Punjab: It will not be homecoming for Yuvraj again as the team again needs 2-3 power hitters in the middle order.

Delhi Capitals: The Shreyas Iyer led team needs some foreign players in the middle order as they boast of some top Indian middle order talents and are unlikely to bid for Yuvraj.
