After a dominant display by Indian shuttlers on the pre-quarter final day of BWF World championships that saw four out of five shuttlers progress through to the quarter final. Kidambi Srikanth was upset by an unknown American in straight games that brings down men’s singles challenge to B Sai Praneeth who will be up against a resurgent Kento Momoto of Japan. Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu will be up against their fierce rivals in Caroliona Marin and Nozomi Okuhara respectively. Ashwini and Satwiksairaj who have been a surprise package in the tournament will face an uphill task from the top seed Chinese pair.
