The all important India’s tour of Australia will commence from 21st November with the start of the three match T20 series. India will be boasted of a strong batting line up well complimented by a fierce bowling attack including some world class spinners.

Meanwhile, former Australian batsman Mike Hussey feels India will miss the services of its specialist all-rounder Hardik Pandya in the test series against Australia.

Pandya suffered a lower back injury in the Asia Cup 2018 encounter against Pakistan after which he had to leave the field and is allready out of action for two months. The Baroda all-rounder is currently undergoing rehabilitation and is expected to return in the earlier parts of 2019.

India will miss the services of Hardik Pandya says Mike Hussey

Hussey rightly called “Mr. cricket” for his sheer dedication and knowledge of cricket feels that Hardik Pandya is an impactful player for India and the team will miss his services as his playing style suits the condition of Australia.

“I think Hardik is a wonderful talent and I am sure his game style would have been suited to the Australian conditions. Add to that, the balance he offers the team with his all-round abilities, yes I think his absence will hurt India,” Hussey told PTI as reported by Times of India.

Hussey further said that Australian pacers will test the young Indian batters. He opined that India will have a good chance to win a test series in Australia without the services of Steve Smith and David Warner.

“I do think India have a good chance as they have an excellent team with some very good fast bowlers. However, I think Australia’s bowling attack is world class and will challenge the Indian team, particularly the younger players in Australian conditions. Australia always play well at home and hence will be very hard to beat.” Hussey said.

The India-Australia test series begins from December 6 in Adelaide.
