Super Sport park, Centurion: Virat Kohli equals Sachin Tendulkar's record at Super Sport park

Virat Kohli scored a brilliant ton in the ongoing test match against South Africa at Super Sport park in Centurion. He is the first batsmen to score a hundred in the three match test series. The 29 years old scored his ton in 146 balls at a healthy strike rate of 62.1, he also crafted 10 beautifully timed boundaries. This is the 21st test century for the Indian skipper and second versus South Africa.

Despite loosing partners, Indian captain holded the Indian innings together and notched a ton at Super sport park in Centurion. Virat Kohli now also becomes the second Indian captain after Sachin Tendulkar to score a century in South Africa.

He is also the second Indian batsmen after Sachin Tendulkar to score a century at Super Sport Park here in Centurion.

Kohli could again break in the record books, if he can score another century in the test series, making him only the first Indian batter to score more than one century at South African soil.

Earlier, in December 2010 Tendulkar (107 not out) played a sublime chanceless innings and shared a 172-run stand for the seventh wicket with captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (90) to lead a spirited fightback before the team slumped to 454 for eight when stumps were drawn early due to rain on a historic day at Super Sport Park. This was 50th Test century scored by Tendulkar, but could not prevent India to a likely defeat on the fourth day of the 1st test against South Africa in 2010.
