Football world cup is just few days away and the excitement is allready on peak amongst the soccer fans. This will be the first time when a world cup will be held in two continents. Not to forget, Russia is one of those countries which lie in two continents(Europe and Asia). The event is scheduled to be held across 12 stadiums in 11 host cities. From the cold weather in St. Petersburg to subtropics of Sochi, from capital city of Moscow to European city of Kazan, here’s a look at the Fifa World Cup 2018 venue–

#12: EKATERINBURG ARENA City: Yekaterinburg
Capacity: 35,696
Cost: USD 220 million for rebuilding of the stadium and is famous for its unconventional design. In an attempt to keep costs down, the stadium has 12,000 temporary seats.
#11: SPARTAK STADIUM City: Moscow
Capacity: 43,298
Cost: USD 250 million
The stadium has served as a venue for Champions League and Confederations Cup games. It is the only World Cup stadium built without government money.
#10: LUZHNIKI STADIUM City: Moscow
Capacity: 81,006
Cost: USD 410 million for rebuild.
This will be the second fifa world cup 2018 venue in the country capital of Moscow, which was built in the 1950s to showcase the sporting might of the Soviet Union. This was originally an athletics stadium before getting convert into a soccer stadium.
#9: ST. PETERSBURG STADIUM City: St. Petersburg
Capacity: 68,134
Cost: USD 735 million
Almost everything that could go wrong did go wrong with the St. Petersburg stadium.
This stadium took most time to get ready and turned out horrific for employed North Korean laborers, out of whom 8 died at World Cup construction site.
#8: KAZAN ARENA City: Kazan
Capacity: 44,779
Cost: USD 250 million
This is a stadium with all the modern features which opened in 2013 as Russia’s first new generation of football stadiums. It was used as the model for the other new arenas.
