The first match of the three-match ODI series between India and West Indies is being played at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. During this match, a black dog entered the field, which shocked the ground staff and the players and the action was halted for couple of minute.

The incident happened in the 26th over of the first innings. At that time, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant were present at the crease. After much effort, the ground staff managed to drive the dog away.

Earlier in the game, West Indies won the toss and asked India to bat first on a batsman friendly wicket that got better with the course of the day. India put up a fighting total of 287 runs, courtesy Rishabh Pant’s 71 off 69 balls and Shreyas Iyer’s 70 off 88 balls.
