The unofficial start of 2023 Asian Games already started with the start of cricket, football and volleyball events on 19th September. The official start of the event will start on 23rd September with a grand opening ceremony and the games will conclude on 8th of October 2023.
Originally scheduled to take place from 10 to 25 September 2022, on 6 May 2022 the Games were postponed to 2023 due to the COVID-19 pandemic
All the games will be scheduled to take place in Hangzhou and its districts, while other events will be held in Deqing, Jinhua, Ningbo, Shaoxing and Wenzhou. A total of 37 sports were finalized for the event with the core 28 Olympic sports event included. The games will also feature e-sports and will include 7 medal events. The games will feature athletes from 45 national Olympic committee.
