Bad air quality in Delhi not a concern for skipper Rohit Sharma

The pollution of Delhi is at the ‘worst’ but stand in Indian captain Rohit Sharma feels that pollution won’t be an issue during the first t20 against Bangladesh which takes place at Arun Jaitley stadium(previous- Feroz Shah Kotla stadium).

Visitors batsman Liton Das was seen wearing a pollution mask during the course of training on Thursday. There have been voices raised over the pollution effect in Delhi and some have even called to cancel the match. However, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has made it clear that the match will go as the schedule.

“I have just landed and haven’t had time to assess. As far as I know the game is to be played on November 3 and will be played,” Rohit was quoted as saying by Times of India.

“We didn’t have any problems when we played the Test match here (against Sri Lanka). We are not aware of the exact discussion and I haven’t had any problem,” he added.

Rohit referred the test match against Sri Lanka in 2017 when the visiting team wore the pollution mask and play was halted for over 20 minutes due to hazardous air.
