VVS Laxman predicts the result of India vs Bangladesh T20 series

VVS Laxman predicts the result of India vs Bangladesh T20 series

The Indian team will have a job in their hand to win the upcoming three match T20 series against an up-roaring Bangladesh who will be like a wounder tiger without the services of star all-rounder Shakib al Hasan. The men in blue will be led by Rohit Sharma after selectors rested Virat Kohli, who has played unstoppable cricket from past 8 months.

While this gives an opportunity to youngsters like Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant to step up the peddle but the Bangladeshi bowlers will look to exploit the inexperienced Indian middle order.

The first T20 will kickstart from 3rd November at Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi but before that, former India International VVS Laxman has predicted the result of the series

Laxman predicts the series at 2-1 in India’s favour

As per News18, Laxman said that India will be without the services of ton guns like Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar which will make it a tough series for hosts. He noted that Bangladesh are travelling with a strong side and they will have the best opportunity to beat India at their den.

“It will be a tough series for the home team since Bangladesh are travelling with a strong side, but I feel the series will be 2-1 in favour of India,” Laxman was quoted as saying by India.com.

“Also with the form Rohit and KL Rahul are in right now, with (Shikhar) Dhawan looking at establishing himself, I am backing the Indian batting power to win the series,” he added.

Laxman said that Bangladeshi batting line-up has depth to beat India but their bowling will be dependent on Mustafizur Rahman as the others are inexperienced.

He also said that Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar will hold the key to India’s bowling in the three T20Is. “There is a lot of inexperience in this bowling line up so I hope Yuzvendra Chahal plays all three matches,” said Laxman.

Laxman, who is the mentor of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL backed Krunal Pandya to bowl tough overs and emerge victorious. The other two T20Is will be played at Saurashtra cricket association stadium in Rajkot (November 7) and at Vidarbha cricket association stadium in Nagpur (November 10).
