IND vs SA: Best memes and reactions after India loses the 1st T20 in Delhi

India lost the first of the five match T20 series against South Africa by 7 wickets to trail 1-0 in the series. It was a chance for India to script history by creating the world record of 13 match winning streak which no other team has done in world cricket but Proteas had other plans as an unbeaten 131 stand between David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen was enough to put hault to India’s streak. With the win, South Africa are now 4-1 up against India in T20’s in India and the home team need to improve the record from here on to stand any chance to win the series.

South African captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and asked India led by its new skipper- Rishabh Pant to bat first on a pitch which went better as the game progressed. India finished on 211/4 in their course of 20 overs, thanks to the contribution from Ishan Kishan(76 off 48) and final over flourish from Hardik Pandya(31 off 12). Wayne Parnell was the pick of Proteas bowler with a figure of 1/32 at an impressive economy of 8. Keshav Maharaj, Anrich Nortje and Dwayne Pretorious bagged 1 wicket each.

205 was the highest total chased by South Africa and if they chased down 212, it would be a record chase. The visiting team didn’t had great start and they were 81/3 in 8.4 over but what transpired from there on was just too special to witness. David Miller kept on striking from the word “go” and was accompanied by a slow starting Van der Dussen but he switched his gears when needed the most. The duo thrashed the Indian attack and chased down the target in just 91.1 over with 7 wickets in hand.

Twitter users trolled Rishabh Pant for his captaincy as the Roorkee lad became the second youngest skipper to lead India in T20s. Internet users also missed Rohit Sharma the skipper under whom India created a streak of winning 12 back to back T20 games, here are the best reactions-
