After two blockbuster seasons, Lanka Premier League is back for the 3rd season with the league starting from 6 December and the finals being played on 23rd of December 2022. Five teams will compete for the title with stars from Sri Lanka and International stars from countries like South Africa, Pakistan, Afghanistan, West Indies, England, Australia, UAE and New Zealand.
R Premadasa stadium in Colombo, Mahinda Rajapaksha stadium in Hambantota and Pallekele International stadium in Galle will be the host of the matches. The tournament will be played in double round robin format where a team meets another team twice in the tournament. Jaffna Kings have won both the seasons of the tournament and the remaining four teams will now put their foot forward to win the title for the first time.
