One medal will be at stake as the official start to Paris Olympics 2024 starts from Saturday as mixed 10m air rifle team will be gunning from glory and some good show in qualifications may guarantee them a medal for India to start the campaign on a high. 10m air pistol qualifications in men and women category will also be on display.
Badminton events will also start from the day as Lakshya Sen, women’s doubles pairing of Crasto and Ponappa and former world no 1 men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj and Shetty will take the badminton court. Indian hockey team will also begin its quest for another Olympic medal as they take on New Zealand in their group stage clash.
